Brooklynn Samaniego

Brooklynn Samaniego is a graduate of Mission Bay High School and will attend the

University of California, Santa Cruz in the fall, where she will major in Film and Digital

Media. She was an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Candidate, a program she

pursued over the past two years. In addition, she earned the California State Seal of

Biliteracy in Mandarin, which she has studied for 13 years.

Brooklynn is passionate about storytelling through film. She has collaborated with fellow

students and young filmmakers to produce a variety of short films, including

documentaries, psychological thrillers, comedies, and dramas—both inside and outside

of school.

Her goal is to pursue a career in the film industry where she can lead creative teams

and bring original projects to life. Driven by collaboration and artistic vision, Brooklynn

hopes to take on a leadership role in directing and producing meaningful, impactful

films.
