Nadia Gibbs

Nadia Gibbs is a senior at El Camino High School who will be graduating with honors. She will attend San Diego State University this Fall and will major in Theater Arts with an emphasis in Youth Theater. Her goal is to give back to her local community by offering the same Performing Arts opportunities that were offered to her throughout her childhood. Her career goals are to initially become a drama teacher for a local high school and eventually work towards becoming a stage director within the community. She has been fortunate to have a family who supports her in pursuing her dreams and helping her to be a part of the Performing Arts community. She has danced since she was 18 months old, been in plays since 4th grade and taken weekly singing lessons for the past 6 years. Her greatest achievements have been getting good grades throughout high school, getting the award of "Honorable Mention” at a Musical Theater singing competition, being selected as the lead for this year’s high school musical and receiving the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Choir San Diego scholarship to support her in achieving her future education and career goals.
